the local watering hole

The Regent Bar on Montrose Terrace was a place I ended up at not only on my first night in Edinburgh but on at least two other occasions. It was a five minute walk from where I was staying and had all the comforts of a good local pub. Cozy low lighting, a room full of diverse patrons, comfortable seating, interesting decor, excellent food and a great selection of suds. I was partial to this place due especially to the cider selection and other unique brews such as Crabbie's Ginger Beer. I wish this place was on my corner back at home. I do miss it so.

fish pie with salad & toast, a bowl of stovies, and bacon wrapped sausages with peas & mash.
